Running a small business can feel like an endless cycle of problem-solving, managing tasks, and putting out fires. There’s always something demanding attention, and time is constantly in short supply. But every once in a while, a project comes back around and makes you stop, appreciate the work, and remember why you started in the first place.
That’s exactly what happened when I received an email from Karen and Jim, my wonderful clients from Ohio, who sent me photos of their completed wood entry doors featuring the custom metal inserts I designed for them.
A Project Years in the Making
Way back in late 2019, Karen and Jim reached out looking for a custom-designed metal insert for their wood entry doors. Their home was still under construction, and they wanted a one-of-a-kind design to enhance the entrance.
The design and fabrication process took a few months to complete—like any custom metalwork project, there were a couple of hiccups along the way. But by early 2020, the inserts were ready to go, carefully packaged, and shipped to Ohio.
A huge thanks to Sergio from USA Logistics, who handled the shipping, ensuring that everything arrived safely and stress-free.
A Stunning Entryway That Stands Out
Fast forward to today, and I finally got to see the finished product—and wow, was it worth the wait! The wood doors, paired with the custom metalwork, turned out incredible. Seeing my work installed and adding character to a home is always the most rewarding part of the process.
The Power of Custom Metal Inserts
A custom metal insert isn’t just a decorative element—it’s a signature piece that transforms a door into something truly unique. Whether for modern, traditional, or artistic designs, these inserts elevate the overall look and feel of an entryway.
In Karen and Jim’s case, the inserts added a bold and elegant touch, perfectly complementing the craftsmanship of their wood doors.
Looking Back and Moving Forward
It’s funny how time flies—this project started years ago, and with everything that happened in 2020 and beyond, I had almost forgotten about it. But getting these photos today brought it all back, reminding me why I love doing this.
A huge thank you to Karen and Jim for trusting me with their vision and for sharing these incredible photos! It’s always an honor to be part of a project like this.
I’ll be sure to tag the wood door company that built and installed these beauties once I have their details.
