Looking back at this blue Craftsman fiberglass entry door we installed in early fall 2020, I can’t help but appreciate how much things have changed since then. At the time, this project was a turning point—not just because of the bold color choice that made the entryway stand out, but because it marked the beginning of serious supply chain disruptions in our industry.
What started as small delays quickly turned into widespread material shortages, longer lead times, and an overall strain on production. For a while, it felt like every project required extra patience and creative problem-solving just to keep things on track. But today, in 2025, I’m grateful to say that our production times are back to normal, and things are running smoother than ever.
Now, looking at projects like this one, I appreciate them even more—not just for their craftsmanship, but for the lessons they taught us. Over the past few years, we’ve fine-tuned our processes, strengthened relationships with suppliers, and ensured that our clients continue to get the high-quality custom doors they expect without unnecessary delays.
This door remains one of my favorites, not just for the clean lines and bold finish, but for what it represents—the resilience of the industry and the progress we’ve made. And seeing how smoothly things are running now makes me excited for everything we’ll be building next.
